VÊS.TRÊS
VÊS.TRÊS is a collective project formed by artists Ana Malta, Madalena Pequito, and Maria de Brito Matias. The collaboration began in 2018, after they completed their degrees in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. Their desire to continue working closely as colleagues led to the creation of joint works, where pictorial harmony plays with the act of seeing and recognizing. The lingering question remains: "Do you see three?" Three forms of expression, three styles, three color palettes.
Born as a mutual support movement, a dialogue of experiences, and a space to address social issues as women artists, the collective seeks to highlight the importance of combining practices and perspectives to foster human development. As social beings, we sharpen our senses when we come together—in this case, three times more intensely—creating this unique entity, VÊS.TRÊS. While composed of three independent artists, the collective functions as a singular artistic voice, aiming to leave its mark through a vibrant and accessible visual language. All three artists contribute equally and simultaneously to every artwork they create, ensuring a truly collaborative and unified artistic process.
